Payroll software built to be understood — before it's run.

PayrollStream is an upcoming payroll platform focused on transparency, explainability, and partner-first workflows — designed for employers, accountants, and payroll operators who want fewer surprises and better control.

Currently in development. We're inviting early adopters and experienced payroll and software development professionals to help shape the platform.

Why PayrollStream

Payroll failures rarely come from incorrect math. They come from systems that don't explain what they're doing, workflows that lack visibility, and processes that nobody fully understands until something goes wrong.

Transparency at every step

Every payroll action — submitted, approved, sent, received — is logged and traceable. Nothing happens silently.

Explainability for employees

Payslips that people can actually read. Plain-language breakdowns of what changed, why, and what it means.

Control for accountants

Partner-first workflows built around how accounting firms actually operate — not as a feature add, as the core design.

Risk reduction by design

Dual-control approval, full audit trails, and integration-first architecture reduce the blast radius of any single failure.

What we're building

PayrollStream orchestrates payroll. It connects employers, accountants, and payroll providers through a structured workflow — without pretending that one platform can own every edge case.

Early access

We're opening early access to a small group of professionals who will use the platform, give direct feedback, and help shape what gets built next.

We're looking to hear from:

CPAs and accounting firms Payroll bureaus Employers running payroll in-house Payroll professionals HR operations teams

Early access is guided. You'll be working directly with the team, not navigating a self-serve onboarding flow. Expect unfinished edges and direct communication.

Join the project

We're building something that requires both payroll knowledge and engineering discipline. If you have one or both, we'd like to hear from you.

Payroll domain experts

The platform is only as correct as the people who shaped its rules.

  • Payroll processing professionals
  • CPAs with payroll client experience
  • Tax professionals with hands-on filing experience
  • HR and benefits administrators
  • Anyone who has managed payroll at scale and learned the hard way

Software engineers

Regulated financial systems demand a different standard of correctness.

  • Engineers with experience in banking, insurance, or regulated fintech
  • Backend engineers who care about auditability and correctness over speed
  • Platform engineers with Azure, .NET, or distributed systems background
  • Anyone who has built systems where errors have real-world consequences

Interested? Write to hello@payrollstream.com with a brief note on your background and what you'd contribute. There's no formal process — just a conversation.

Current status

Development is active. Below is an honest snapshot of where things stand.

Privacy

This site is a pre-launch informational page. It does not set tracking cookies, use analytics scripts, or collect any data automatically.

If you contact us by email, your name and email address are used solely to respond to your inquiry and to follow up on early access or project participation if you requested it. Nothing is shared with third parties. Nothing is sold.

Once the platform operates, a full privacy policy covering payroll data handling will be published. Payroll data — employee records, compensation, tax information — will be handled to standards appropriate for regulated financial systems.
